“This Old Post Road home was built in 1922. While it may be more than a century newer than a few of its neighbors, it is a perfect complement to the historic district here. The first European settlers came here in 1639 and built their community around squares for residential, commercial, religious, and community purposes. From the beginning, they called their new settlement Fairfield, a nod to their English roots.
